Iwao Nishikawa, Japanese Trademark (Patent) Attorney
Iwao Nishikawa worked at one of prestigious patent firms about 4 years on foreign trademark matters for Japanese corporations, after which he joined another law and patent firm where he, for a period of 11 years, successfully handled many trademark matters, e.g., applications, arguments, trials, and opposition proceedings, for major US companies, in the industry and world of motion picture, cigarette, apparel, finance, electric, electronic, tire, and so on.
Hoping to put his extensive knowledge and expertise relating to trademarks to use, he established his own firm, Nishikawa Trademark & IP Office, in 2005. His expertise covers all trademark related matters, ranging from trademark registrability searches to assignment negotiations for cited trademark registrations.
He also serves as a member of the research division at the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA).
